Most of our business trips to date have been for weddings and those sorts of occasions, but this one marked a type we’re happy to add to our ever-expanding repertoire of event types: Corporate Events.
With a nimble and busy ROA Designs team back at our home base of Vancouver, I enlisted some support from a floral design school. Dividing and conquering is very important in order to get things done efficiently, and it was a bonus to give these students the opportunity to hone their skills through real-life work experience. All we ask of anyone who works with us is a lot of enthusiasm and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment – and that’s exactly what we got.
A great passion that I have is sharing what I have learned from past experiences and from my floral education background and passing on wisdom and knowledge to the next generation of budding artists. It is learning opportunities like these that help shape the bright futures of these talented group of ladies (photographed below). With the task at hand of wowing the likes of Toronto’s most renowned corporate movers and shakers, we all knew that our best efforts was what we had to deliver.
Together, we turned the Fairmont Royal York Hotel into a classy space fit for the T. Patrick Boyle Founder’s Award Ceremony. To round out the lovely look and feel of the event, great food was served, jazz music was playing in the background, all while giggles and laughter from the entire team filled the beautiful space.
Overall, it was my absolute pleasure mentoring and working closely with these budding designers.
